Wolk’s portrayal of Superman is great and perfectly fitsHarley Quinn’s world. First and foremost, due to the show being a comedy series, Wolk plays Superman’s existential crisis in a way that I find both dramatic and funny. However, there is alsoan underlying earnestness to it all that is just classic Superman. It is hard to make a character like the Man of Steel fit into the context of the TV-MA series without making him the butt of jokes. However, Wolk perfectly walks the line between making Superman look goofy and also a hero impossible not to root for.

For a hero who has been used as much as he has, new projects should always strive to find a fresh way of dealing with the character.Harley Quinndoes just that by giving Superman an existential crisis after Metropolis has no more crime and sending him off to find himself while Harley and Ivy stay in the city to take care of it. I think James Wolk does a great job withSuperman, and his version is underrated.
