Blumhouse has found a great deal of success as a studio by making high-concept horror movies on relatively small budgets. It’s not clear whatDrop’s budget is, but the limited locations and lack of A-list movie stars suggests it fits perfectly within this model. Though it’s the audience response that will determine whetherDropends up being successful, the critics' response is an early sign that the movie will end up being another win for Blumhouse.
