Chris is adamant that there’s “no way in h*** we are kin to the Queen of England.” While their family does have ties to the U.K., a genealogist named Vickie Fields confirms Chris' prediction.
However,the genealogist is able to determine a bit more about their ancestry, including the fact that there was a man named Hugh Kirkwood who traveled from the U.K. in the 1700’s. He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, during which he was injured. “With that information, and a lot of proof, you can join the Daughters of the American Revolution. You have the pedigree to do it,” Vickie reveals. The Daughters of the American Revolution is an organization run by descendants of those who fought for independence in the war.
After discovering these secrets about their family’s history,Amy realizes this must be why she and her siblings always fight. “We come from a long line of soljies,” she exclaims while laughing hysterically.
